Are the apps fully offline?
Yes. All content is bundled in the app at install time. No internet connection is required to study, take practice exams, or use any reference tools. An internet connection is only used if you tap an external link (such as the NEC viewer or PSI exam portal).
Which edition of the NEC does the TX JM Prep app cover?
The Texas Journeyman Electrician TDLR exam is based on NEC 2023. All questions and reference material in TX JM Prep are written to the 2023 edition. Note: Texas transitions to NEC 2026 on September 1, 2026 — verify the current edition at tdlr.texas.gov before your exam date.
Which codes does the TX FAL Prep app cover?
The Texas Fire Alarm License exam (TFM11 and TFM12) is based on NFPA 72 (2013 edition) and NEC 2014 Article 760. The TFM11 exam also covers Texas Insurance Code Chapter 6002 and 28 TAC Chapter 34. All content in TX FAL Prep is written to these specific editions.
Are the study questions the same as the practice exam questions?
Both modes draw from the same question bank. Study Mode shows all available questions in a shuffled order with instant feedback and explanations after each answer. Practice Exam mode randomly samples the same number of questions as the real exam, hides feedback until you submit, and scores your result against the passing threshold.
Is each practice exam different?
Yes. Questions and answer choices are randomized on every attempt so no two exams are identical and you learn the material rather than memorizing a fixed order.
I think a question or answer is incorrect. How do I report it?
Please email us with the question text and which answer you believe is correct, along with the code section or reference. We take accuracy seriously and verify every report against the source material before making changes.
Will iOS versions be available?
iOS versions are planned. Android is launching first. Sign up for updates at the contact address below.
I purchased the app — where is my receipt or proof of purchase?
Purchases are processed entirely through the Google Play Store. Your receipt is emailed automatically by Google at the time of purchase. For billing issues or refund requests, contact Google Play support directly.
The app isn't working correctly on my device. What should I do?
Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the problem persists, email us with your device model, Android version, and a description of what's happening. Screenshots are helpful.
